Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal feeling, and we all experience it throughout our lives. In fact, not only is it a normal feeling, it can even be beneficial because it prepares the mind and body to cope with certain realities. When anxiety persists, however, it can feel unmanageable and overwhelming. For some people, unmitigated anxiety is is triggered by specific situations or circumstances; for others, it is pervasive. When anxiety feels out of control, it interferes with your quality of life. Anxiety can be experienced cognitively (i.e. in the mind), or it can be experienced somatically (i.e. in the body).
