Jennifer Bakal

Psychotherapist/Clinical Psychologist, PhD, LCSW-R

Jennifer holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and two masters degrees, one in licensed master of Social Work and the other one in psychology. She is a graduate of Walden University, New York University and New School University. Jennifer is a warm and personable clinician with over twenty years of experience in clinical social work. The focus of her work is starting where the client is and creating a strong therapeutic alliance in order to meet their needs and goals.

Jennifer has worked in outpatient addiction facilities and in many therapeutic facilities. She has experience treating all age groups and specializes in substance abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD,  family issues, relationship issues, and school/work related issues. Jennifer has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, young adults and their families. She strives to meet the needs of each individual utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychodynamic theory, play therapy, positive psychology and attachment theory.

Jennifer truly cares about her clients and strives to help them to meet their goals for treatment. She understands the importance of building trust with her clients. Jennifer aims to build a safe space with her clients where they can feel heard, understood and validated.
